The New York State Office of Emergency Management (NYSOEM) provides the NY-ALERT web site for informational purposes only and makes every effort to post accurate and reliable information. Other state and local agencies are authorized to post information the NY-ALERT website and utilize communication gateways within the website to disseminate information. NYSOEM makes neither warranties, guarantees nor representations of any kind as to the content, accuracy or completeness of the information contained in its web site, disseminated through the website, or any related links. NYSOEM assumes no responsibility for any error, omissions or other discrepancies between the electronic and printed versions of documents.

The NY-ALERT web site links to web sites maintained by other entities. Reasonable precautions are taken to link only to web sites that are appropriate, accurate and maintained by reputable organizations. However, those web pages are not under the New York State Office of Emergency Management control and the New York State Office of Emergency Management is not responsible for the information or opinions expressed in those linked sites.

Universal Accessibility

It is the policy of New York State that persons with disabilities have access to information via the World Wide Web, which is equivalent to that available to persons without disabilities. The State of New York has adopted the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a means to provide optimal access to State agency websites and the content therein.

Subscribers

Subscribers understands when subscribing to the service that NYSOEM cannot guarantee 100 percent delivery of the message in a timely manner. NYSOEM utilizes third parties' infrastructure to deliver messages such as faxing, Short Message Service (SMS), and voice calls that may be unavailable due those third parties' infrastructure issues. These may be due to weather, power, acts or war, etc. NYSOEM will make every effort to ensure this delivery but due to above unforeseen circumstances, cannot guarantee 100 percent delivery in a timely manner.
